2. How has the recent research on the effects of specific deterrence verses perceptual deterrence changed the way the entire concept of deterrence is viewed? What additional studies should be conducted to clarify the issue?

3. What body types have been found to be more associated with crime? What do you believe is causing this to happen?

4. Explain the research in the “Delinquency Areas” of Chicago and discuss the results.

5. Discuss Merton’s five modes of adaption and give an example of each.
